Hi guys! I am actually away on vacation this week celebrating my one year anniversary with Brit, and then a week long family vacation. However, I was contacted by Man Crates regarding their Father's Day project and was inspired to share some Father's Day gift ideas. And since I'm on a trip with 3 fathers and one soon to be, I figured I was in good company to put a list together to share with you all.
I asked each dad what a good Father's Day gift would be, keeping it easy and inexpensive, and here are some of the top responses I got:
1. A day of Rest
Unanimously, each dad agreed this was one of the best gifts. Especially those with younger children.
2. Personalized Mugs & Koozies {can coolers}
These are super easy and really inexpensive. Places like Michael's or Hobby Lobby sell plain koozies, and with a little puffy paint you can personalize it for him.
I would love to say this was made for my dad when I was about 8, but it was just last year and I was 28. He still loves it though! You could also use colors of his favorite sports team to make it a game day go-to.
World's Best Dad mug - Ok, I realize this is super cliche, but I had a few suggestions for a DIY mug from the fathers. Using the same method mentioned on my DIY Sharpie Cup and Saucer post, you can make your own personalized mug. Another idea was to have the mug say "Pretty Ok Dad" to take away the pressure of being the world's best.
3. Photos
Items with photos of kids or grandkids were a pretty popular gift idea as well. Simply framing a special moment can be a very meaningful gift and doesn't have to take much time or money.
Another suggestion was photo koozies {can you tell we're on a beach vacation, using koozies daily?}. I did some research and found that sites like Vistaprint offer photo can coolers for just over $7.
Of course you could always go with the standard tie or golfballs, but there are only so many ties a dad can wear and so many golfballs he can lose.
If you're not really feeling any of these gift ideas or are looking for something else, here are some more great ideas for gifts for men. I actually got Brit a Man Crate for his birthday last year. It was a pretty big hit, and I would definitely consider using them again. Possibly this bad boy for {soon-to-be} Father's Day. You can also follow them on Twitter for some stellar dad jokes, my favorites.
Just as a note: I have not received any payments or free crates in return for this post. All opinions are my own.
Thanks for visiting!
