12 Organized Projects for the New Year

I hate New Year's resolutions. I rarely make them, and if I do they're typically things I know I won't really achieve. Lose 15 pounds by May. Learn French, again. Silly things that I really have no true desire to work towards. This year I decided to do things a little differently.

Instead of one big {unachievable} resolution, I've made a list of 12 home and organizing related things I hope to accomplish within year. I've decided to assign one large project per month.
Here are the 12 things that I hope to organize or complete this year.
  1. Linen closet
  2. Basement closet
  3. Office shelves
  4. Paint the office
  5. Coat closet
  6. Bookcase cabinets
  7. Basement workspace
  8. Garage
  9. Basement shelves
  10. Wall art
  11. James' closet
  12. Mudroom cabinets
I'm not sure in which order I will accomplish each item, but my hope is to finish one within each month. There are plenty of other projects that will come up throughout the year I'm sure, but I'm hoping that by planning to do one of these "To-Do List" projects a month it will prevent me from getting overwhelmed. We shall see. Since January is now halfway over I better get on the ball!

What kind of resolutions do you make? Have any of you made organizing resolutions this year?

Thanks for visiting!
